Pupil Chaplains

Pupil chaplain prayer

God our Father,

We know that you are always with us.

We pray that you will help us to be true friends with one another and a good example of our faith to everybody in school.

Amen.

Jason, Zacharie, Olivia, Ruby, Charlie, Lilianna, Isabel, Anjali, Denzel, Niamh and Markella are our pupil chaplains for 2025-26. They are a newly formed group this year and are all Year 6 children who volunteered for this role.  Their role, as pupil chaplains, is to support the Catholic life of our school. All of these children are proud to be part of the chaplaincy team; and are easily spotted by their purple sweatshirt or cardigan.

My name is Jason and I am a pupil chaplain. I want to encourage others to pray more often. I like leading prayers on Thursday morning for the children and for staff. We would love to have some parents to join us.

My name is Zacharie. I wanted to be a pupil chaplain because I want to help people to improve their knowledge about religion. We have our meetings every Thursday morning before school. I like to meet with the other pupil chaplains and Mrs Sellers.

My name is Olivia. I wanted to be a pupil chaplain because I thought it would be a great opportunity for me. I am a Christian and I want to grow my relationship with  God even more.

My name is Ruby. I wanted to be a pupil chaplain because I want to be involved in religious activities. I want to be able to help plan Masses and also encourage others to learn prayers.

My name is Charlie. To be a good pupil chaplain you should be caring, trustworthy, responsible, kind and friendly. I am willing to help my teachers with any task. Also I will make sure that I am a good role model around school.

My name is Lilianna. I like being a pupil chaplain because I have followed the Catholic faith for all my life and this is another way I can express my faith. I want to spread the word of the Lord to everyone in school. I enjoy helping at Mass by showing the responses on the screen.

My name is Anjali and I enjoy being a pupil chaplain.  I am very kind and helpful and I really want to make sure that everyone is safe. Every Friday morning I help to set up the hall for Mass.

My name is Denzel. I want to be a pupil chaplain because I love praising God and serving him. Jesus saved people and helped them so I am inspired to follow in his footsteps. I am proud to be a pupil chaplain. I always try to be a good example to everyone in school. I really enjoy setting up the hall for Mass every Friday.

My name is Niamh. I love being a pupil chaplain. I wanted to be a pupil chaplain because I am kind and a really good friend.  I always try to help others. I enjoy setting up the computer and the slideshow for Mass.

My name is Markela. Being a pupil chaplain is important. We have regular meetings, as a group, with Mrs Sellers. We learn about the Catholic faith and encourage others too.      I want to learn more about how to become closer to God.    I love being involved in helping other children, especially for religious activities
